Musical Biography
Cambria began playing the violin at the age of eight. Her love for music led her to study classical violin at the University of Washington in Seattle, followed later by the study of improvisation, jazz and contemporary music at Northridge in Austin, Texas. She also studied Irish fiddle at Willie Clancy Irish Music School in Milton Malby, County Clare, Ireland (the music and county of her heritage).
Cambria has performed in classical orchestras, chamber ensembles, duets and as a soloist. She also performed in a traditional Italian band, Sub Med, with the neo-celtic Lost Pines Trio, in concert with Billy Bragg and in various jazz ensembles. She has enjoyed playing for weddings for many years.
Cambria's violin will add the romance and magic of music, in whatever style you choose, to make your wedding, reception and dinner party very special and memorable. Whether you are planning an intimate beach or garden wedding, a larger celebration at a private estate, or a religious ceremony in one of Maui's lovely chapels, her greatest joy is to play music in the celebration of love!
